Innovation has always been a key pillar of Eva’s and our Print Shop is no exception. Eva’s Print Shop is a full-service digital printer that reduces youth homelessness. When you print with them, you help prepare youth experiencing homelessness for employment in the graphics and print sector. Over 70% of their training program participants get full-time work, and they provide follow-up support to help them sustain employment. The shop reinvests every dollar of profit into shelter, food, caring support, and basic needs for homeless youth at Eva’s.
Most innovations are born out of challenging times. The coronavirus pandemic has caused the full-service social enterprise to pivot and produce products that aid local businesses to help educate and keep their staff and communities safe from COVID-19.

Floor and Wall Decals

The Print Shop created speciality signage for windows, walls and floors that can easily guide visitors and staff to practice physical distancing. “When you go into public spaces you will now find that there is lots of signage, on how to create a safer environment. We created and designed floor decals to encourage social distancing by showing people where to stand,” says Jonathan. “We also do all sorts of window and wall decals. The great thing is that they are easy for the client to install themselves, there is no need for anyone to come in. We have an in-depth installation sheet that we provide with the products, that demonstrates the most effective way to do the installation.” They can print floor decals in any shape and size, and they can include a business’s logo and customized message.

Tee-shirts

Some local businesses have started being creative and are even using their employees’ uniforms as a communications tool. “A lot of organizations have been buying tee-shirts, with company alliance and team bonding messaging, with slogans like ‘We stay closer by working further apart’. Others are having their employees wear them to remind clients how to socially distance,” says Jonathan. “We offer custom tee-shirt design in house. While we have templates clients can quickly choose from and we also have interns working remotely to create designs for clients. So companies can customize them to meet their unique needs.”

Face Coverings

Eva’s Print Shop can help your company stop the spread of the virus by providing customized printed face coverings. Providing face masks to employees can ensure their safety, in addition to aligning with government protocols.

This social enterprise is committed to the health and wellbeing of their staff and their community. To ensure that they help minimize the spread of COVID-19, Eva’s Print Shop remains closed to the public but is OPEN for business. Their in-person training program and drop-in services have closed until further notice, but their production team is hard at work assisting their clients with the fabrication of their regular line of business such as business card printing, posters, and other forms of commercial signage and print marketing collateral.

Through their innovative profit-for-purpose social enterprise model, Eva’s Print Shop helps homeless youth build better futures. If you have any printing needs and wish to print for good, reach out to [email protected] or call 647-274-0961 to place an order.
