WE ARE DETERMINED THAT YOUTH HOMELESSNESS ENDS WITH US.

Eva’s is the second-largest shelter provider for youth in Toronto.

Change starts with shelter — and continues with care, connection, and opportunity that reflect the communities we serve.

When you give to Eva’s, you’re not just funding a bed — you’re opening the door for a young person to move from survival to possibility.

SHELTER.
STABILITY.
SECURITY.

Eva Smith

Eva Smith envisioned a Toronto where every young person could build a future beyond survival.

Her legacy guides our Shelter–Stability–Security Framework, an integrated approach that meets youth where they are and walks with them toward independence.

Shelter: Safety and space to heal so youth are protected today.
Stability: Caring supports and life skills so they are grounded and well tomorrow.
Security: Education, work, and financial independence so they can thrive for the long haul.

Eva’s is unique because our supports are culturally responsive and reflect the communities we serve. Shelter is only the beginning. Many youth arrive carrying experiences of trauma or exclusion — your support helps them find safety, care, and a brighter future.

WHERE CHANGE STARTS:
EVA’S THREE SHELTER SITES

Together, our three sites provide hundreds of youth each year with safety and a path forward — from their first night of shelter to their steps toward independent housing.

EVA’S PLACE

(Lesmill & 401)

Opened in 1994, North York’s first emergency shelter purpose-built for youth in crisis.

EVA’S SATELLITE

(Yonge & Sheppard)

Emergency shelter for youth facing complex barriers, with specialized harm-reduction and health supports.

EVA’S PHOENIX

(Downtown Toronto)

Transitional housing with 10 townhouse-style units where youth stay up to one year to save, study, and work toward independence.

Isaac’s journey shows the power of culturally grounded support and community connection. Your donation ensures more youth like Isaac can move from survival to stability.

I used to see homelessness as something that just happened to me. Now I see that I have power — and people who believe in me.”

— Isaac, Former Eva’s Youth

IMPACT

City funding covers basic beds, but everything that helps a young person actually stabilize — meals, housing support, life skills, training, recreation, and follow-up — depends on donors.
